"Hi, my name is Angela Donnellon. I have worked for the center for over two years now. I started my studies in Exercise Science at OCC after leaving the Chrysler corporation in 2008. My interest in fitness stems from being in the Army and wanting a better quality of life. I also enjoy motivating others to do the same. I am AFAA certified in group fitness, Zumba, and Zbox. I can also teach belly dance. I currently instruct four forms of Zumba , belly dance, and body sculpt . I look forward to instructing other forms of fitness and many more years with Ford Community and Performing Arts Center."
"Hi! I am Cristi Carricato and I have been an instructor at the FCAPC since 2003. I am AFAA certified in Primary Group exercise and have a Personal Training Cerftificate in addition to ZUMBA trained, R.I.P.P.E.D. trained instructor along with Turbo Kick Certification. I teach advanced step, boot camp, ZKick, Zumba as well as Cycle, Kickboxing, weight training, and hi/lo aerobic classes. I am also an elementary physical education teacher. I love to share my knowledge and passion of fitness with others."
Hello! This is Sam Pietsch taking a moment between sets to let you know that I have been privileged to be a part of the Fitness Instruction Team at DCFPA since May 2012. I have the AFAA Group Fitness Instructor Certification and am CPR certified as well. On August 18, 1999, I decided that I'd had enough with being unhealthy, tired and overweight, and I made myself do 5 pushups and run for 1 minute--barely! Things just kept building, and with encouragement from instructors, and sticking to a schedule of classes, pretty soon this "whole other me" started to emerge. You can do it, too! Won't you join us for the fun, personal satisfaction and great teamwork that our classes offer? "My name is Marie LaManes and I am an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor. I have 4+ years experience in the fitness industry. My passion for fitness comes from the results I've achieved in my own workouts combined with the results I've seen in others. The classes I currently teach are Body Sculpt and Cardio Kickboxing. Other classes I can teach are BOSU Balance Training, Boot Camp, Circuit, Senior Swim and Senior Chair."
“I am David Bazzy, a recent edition to the Center. Some of you may know me as councilman David Bazzy but mostly I just go by Baz. I have been involved with fitness for most of my life in both training coaching and teaching. Currently I am teaching a high-end cardio circuit class focusing on core strength and interval training methods. I also sub for boot camp and spinning and down the road hope to add in high-intensity total bodywork out class. I am having a blast being part of this great team at the Center both taking and teaching classes and look forward to seeing you at the center!”

"Hello, my name is Raluca. I began practicing yoga since the late 1990’s. I received my certification from Rising Sun Yoga (now Yoga for Peace) in Southgate meeting the requirement of the Yoga Alliance 200 hour program in June of 2003. My yoga practice completely changed in 2004 while traveling for business and I took my first formal Iyengar Yoga class with Gabriel Halpern with Yoga Circle in Chicago. Inspired by the depth and the precision of the Iyengar method, my dedication deepened when I began to study regularly with Laurie Blakeney, a Senior Iyengar Yoga teacher from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Inspired by the tradition of Iyengar Yoga, my teaching style emphasizes alignment, form, and attention to detail. I thrive to inspire students to develop a regular consistent home practice of yoga by which they can stay healthy in their body and mind and to acquire skills, knowledge and attitudes which can be utilized in their life on the yoga mat as well as off the yoga mat. Registered as an experienced teacher with Yoga Alliance and a member of the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States, I attend workshops and retreats with Senior Iyengar teachers whenever possible and dream of one day studying with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. My love for food and interest in healthy alternatives has made it possible for me to certify as a Raw Food Chef and in my time off I especially enjoy preparing raw desserts! I also love walking, reading and going to the theater and enjoy spending time with my two kitties, Basil and Sweet Pepper. Hope to see you on the mat! Namaste."
Hi! My name is Tosha. I'm excited to say, I'm new to the FCPAC team. However, I am not new to fitness. I have been a fitness instructor and personal trainer since 2011. Fitness became my hobby after havingchildren and recognizing I needed a healthier lifestyle. It later became my passion. At FCPAC , I currently teach BOKWA. Once you try it you will be hooked! It's fun for people of all ages and fitness levels. Because of theenergizing music, the fun and predictable steps and great motivation coming from people moving togetherto music, you get the BOKWA buzz!! I also teach Total Body Conditioning, Step Aerobics, and Strength & Core.Hope to see you in class!
