Dearborn Specials/Arts & Recreation Enabling

Since 1988, the Dearborn Recreation Department has sponsored the Dearborn Specials/Arts & Recreation Enabling program. In 2001/ 2002 several sponsors have supported and assisted in creating additional programs. They include Dearborn Community Arts Council, VSAarts/Michigan-Dearborn, and Visteon. Our programs are structured for adults with disabilities, family and friends.

All activities will be hosted or instructed by Recreation Specialist Camille Gibson. Certain programs held at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center and some activities will take place within the community. A caregiver must accompany participants that require one-on-one assistance. Registration is required for all activities. Registration/ program fliers will be available in the main lobby of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
