Performing & Cultural Art Rental Descriptions

Mainstage Theatre
Evoking a classic renaissance theatre in a modern environment, our main stage theatre will serve as home to many local arts organizations. With a focus on acoustical and visual properties, the auditorium features beautiful wood and plaster wall panels designed to heighten audience involvement. The auditorium has ample wheelchair seating, elevators to all levels, and an amplified system for the hearing impaired. This 1,201 seat auditorium features the latest lighting and sound systems, and is fully supported by modern scene and costume shops. The theatre is set to support the greatest professional demands while providing a friendly environment for our many local Cultural Arts programs.

Box Office & Administrative Office
The Ford Community and Performing Arts Center features a fully computerized box office system, which provides quick service and easy ticket renewals. For the first time, Dearborn Recreation Cultural Arts Programs are able to accept phone registrations and ticket orders. Box Office services will be available to all community organizations. Internet ticket services will be available by summer 2002.

Dance / Aerobics Studios
In addition to the basic Performing Arts Center area, two professionally designed dance studios will be featured at the Center. Featuring open rooms with dual level dance barres, these spaces provide space for meetings and banquets as well. Each studio has its own dedicated sound system.

Eight multi-purpose rooms that can be used in conjunction with cultural events, meetings,
etc. are also available at the Center.
The Great Hall
The 12,960 square foot Dome Room has been an important part of Dearborn Recreation for over 40 years. The "new" Dome Room has become The Great Hall with a new stage lighting system, sound system and catering kitchen. An historical icon to generations of Dearborn residents, the Dome Room will provide performance space for recitals, speeches, dances, trade shows and much more. The new accouterments allow modern use of this space reminiscent of the traditional European great halls. Video and audio feeds from the theatre and studio will also be available.
Studio A / Black Box Theatre
Studio A / Black Box Theatre
A fully functional recital and rehearsal space with full lighting and sound make this 2,300 sq. ft room ideal for simple performances, recordings, meetings and special events. De- signed with smaller performances in mind, the room has been designed as a multi-purpose room. It may be used individually or in con- junction with onstage activities. Video and audio feeds from the theatre are also available. The ambience of the room will provide a unique atmosphere for banquets and meetings.
