Community & Performing Arts Center-Swim Program Descriptions-

Spa will
be open during regular hours of operation. Due to Spa maintenance
and health concerns, it may be closed at different times.
Lap
Swim, Lap lanes are provided for person's 18 years of
age or older. If you are between the ages of 13-17, you can
get a Lap Swimming Card. Cards can be earned on Saturday's between
noon and 1:00pm at the lap pool. Cards cost $5.00. This is an
opportunity for patrons to swim laps at their own pace. Please
obey the posted lap swim etiquette.
Parent
& Child, This is a time set aside for parents to
bring their children ages 9 and under into the leisure pool
to explore the water together. Please remember this is not an
organized swim lesson, and parents must spend this time exploring
the water with their children.
Open
Recreation Swim, At this time, the pool is open for all
patrons to ride the slides, jump off the boards, play with the
gadgets and gizmos, or swim some laps. Please remember to follow
the pool rules and obey the aquatic staff.
Aquacise/Water
Exercise, a fun and refreshing approach to low-impact
aerobics. Benefit from the advantages of water resistance &
ease of movement with decreased stress on the joints. Morning
classes utilize the Lazy River for added resistance. Ability
to swim is not required.
Lazy
River Walk Everything but lazy! Enjoy strength exercises
as you walk through the resistance of the mild current in the
lazy river.
Senior
Swim Program, This course is offered to Dearborn Residents
age 60 and older is a terrific exercise class lead by our certified
instructor. Please register at our Service Desk.
Swim
Lessons $ Lessons will be offered at the Ford Community
and Performing Arts Center starting January 13, 2003. Registration
can be taken at the front desk.
Birthday
Parties/ Rentals, Have your party at one or both of our
pools. Please call and ask for details, 943-2381.
Programs/time
periods are designed for the groups/activities identified; however
if space exists, all patrons may be invited to participate.
