Outdoor shelters at Crowley, Hemlock and Ford Field are available for rental by picnickers and party-goers, ages 21 and over. All shelters are roofed picnic areas equipped with electrical outlets and interior lighting. All except Crowley also have a drinking fountain and an electrical hot water heater. Restrooms are included in the shelter at Hemlock and in the South Shelter at Ford Field. Restroom facilities are within easy walking distance of Crowley’s shelter.

Picnic permits are available for City of Dearborn parks. Fees are based upon residency/non-residency status and the size of the group. For additional information, call (313) 943-2350.

Crowley Shelter (75 capacity)

 $250 clean-up/reservation deposit is applied to all shelter reservations.

 

Hemlock Cabin

Rustic Hemlock Cabin is available for rental for those ages 21 and over. The cabin consists of one large room (38' by 23') with a gas fireplace, refrigerator, sink and two restrooms. An outdoor picnic area lies adjacent to the cabin. The capacity is 40 individuals.

Picnic Permits 

Picnic permits are available for sites at Crowley, Ford Field, Ford Woods, Levagood and Hemlock Park. A clean-up deposit must be posted for groups of over 200.

 Groups requesting the inclusion of ancillary items, such as dunk tanks, moon walks, live music/amplified sound or large tents, must:

1. Make the request in writing to the Director of Parks & Recreation at least 30 days prior to the event

2. Provide a certificate of liability insurance -- denoating the City of Dearborn as "additionally insured" -- at least one week prior to the event 

Groups requesting the inclusion of a tent larger than 20'-by-20' must obtain a tent permit from the Economic & Community Development Department, located in the Dearborn Administrative Center on Michigan Ave.
